Consultancy and Facilitation
The Craighead Institute has been providing consultancy
to individuals, groups, organisations and congregations for more than
two decades.
Why we do it
At the Institute we believe that there are critical moments
in the life of groups, organisations or congregations, often at times
of growth or decline, conflict, leadership transition or change in the
external environment.
If such moments are handled well, those involved can emerge renewed
and revitalised. If not, they can be left confused and struggling with
unhealthy practices. We aim to provide the support which is invaluable
at these times.
How we do it
Our work may be with individual leaders, management teams, whole
staff teams or congregations. Depending on need we may focus on leadership
development, strategic planning, organisational reviews, team building
or mentoring and supervision. We have developed participative and
systemic approaches to consultancy. We draw on a range of theories, while
entering a process with each client which involves exploration and analysis
of experience, a time of discernment and clear action planning.
The Craighead Institute's approach to facilitation is to encourage a spirit
of enquiry within groups. We believe that organisations hold within them
the resources to make 'good' decisions. Through a range of creative approaches
our facilitators build safe environments where people can tap into these
resources, work together on real challenges. We help them to be effective
in their roles, facing tough choices and supporting them while they take
action.

aimed to promote health, work and wellbeing (this was funded by the Department
of Work and Pensions and was awarded a Recognition Award for Business
Mentoring by the Scottish Mentoring Network).
Who are consultants are
Our consultants are all well-trained, highly-skilled and
very experienced. They have worked internationally with organisations and
groups ranging from local community-based projects, to large congregations,
to multi-national charities.
We
have consultants who can work in English, French, Spanish and Italian
and most are experienced in working through simultaneous translation.
Contracting and Fees
Contracts are negotiated and agreed with each client. The
Institute charges a daily rate which can be varied in exceptional circumstances.
